Man charged with assaulting Southeastern staff at Ramsgate station

A man has been charged with allegedly assaulting a railway employee at a train station in the early hours.

Robert Bishop, 33, of Church Hill in Charing, reportedly assaulted a Southeastern worker at Ramsgate station on Wednesday morning.

Police attended the scene just after 2.15am, "following a report of a man acting aggressively to railway staff", and arrested Mr Bishop.

He has now been charged with using threatening behaviour, and is due to appear at Margate Magistrates' Court on August 6.
