A suspected electrical fault sparked a fire in a bathroom earlier this morning.

The blaze broke out at a property in Falmouth Place in Five Oak Green, near Tonbridge , shortly before 1am.

Two fire engines were sent to the home, where firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used hose reel jets to put out the flames before using a fan to clear smoke from the building.

One person was checked at the scene for smoke inhalation as a precaution.

The fire crews were able to leave at around 2am.
