Kent Fire and Rescue Service called to Manchester's moorland fires

Kent's firefighters have been asked to help tackle ongoing moorland fires in Greater Manchester.

Crews from across the country have been called to try and stop the blaze, which has been tearing through the area for more than a week.

Eight firefighters and four all-terrain vehicles will help local teams to navigate the extensive area affected.

All-terrain vehicles can get firefighters and equipment to remote areas such as woods and moorlands that would be impossible for a traditional fire engine to reach
