Kent's heatwave will continue this weekend, says Met Office

Get ready for even more fun in the sun, as glorious weather is predicted across Kent this weekend.

Temperatures are set to hit a scorching 29C in Dartford today, with highs of around 25C along the county's coastline.

Tomorrow will be another fine day, with wall-to-wall sunshine and a lovely breeze on Kent's beaches.

A level-three heatwave alert is in place across the South East, as people are advised to stay safe while enjoying the sun.

The advisory, issued by the Met Office, signifies an 80% probability of heatwave conditions tomorrow.

Experts have also predicted inland temperatures of up to 32C, with coastal areas sitting happily in the mid-twenties.

Things will heat up to around 26C in Ashford, 28C in Gravesend, 23C in Margate and 27C in Sevenoaks.

However, if you are venturing out into the heatwave, don't forget to pack your suncream, as UV levels will be high on Saturday and Sunday.

Pollen levels will also be high, so it's bad news for hayfever sufferers.
