Shortly after 12.30pm, a police spokesman said: "Officers attended the scene where no injuries were reported.

"Both vehicles have now left the scene."

The accident comes just three days after a lorry driver crashed and later died in hospital along the same stretch of road.

It is believed the man, in his 40s, suffered a suspected heart attack at the wheel of his cab.

The articulated lorry veered off the road and crashed into a row of trees near a care home.
