Robbery in daylight in St Laurence graveyard, Ramsgate

A man has been robbed in the graveyard of a Ramsgate church.

The incident took place in the St Laurence graveyard, off Newington Road, at about 10.30am on Tuesday.

The victim, a man in his 40s, is reported to have been punched and kicked before his phone and house key were stolen.

Police are hunting a man who is white, slim, and about 6ft tall. He was wearing a grey baseball cap, a hooded jacket and tracksuit bottoms.

A police spokesman said: "He may have travelled to the scene in a black Audi Q7 with damage along the driver’s side.

"No arrests have been made and inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police on 01843 222289 quoting 46/233126/19."
