Services were delayed after a Southeastern train crashed into a fallen tree just outside Broadstairs.
The rail firm tweeted: "We're receiving reports of a train hitting a tree near #Broadstairs. More info to follow."
They added: "Trains are being cautioned through at the moment but services are in operation."
A Southeastern spokesman later confirmed: "A train struck branches on the track not far from Broadstairs station at around 2.40pm.
"The driver inspected the train to make sure there was no damage and the service continued nine minutes later."
Several trees have been blown down as strong winds hit the county.
Earlier today, a train driver was praised for getting out of the cab and removing a tree that had fallen onto the line.
