Woman dies after Ramsgate cliff fall

A woman has died after falling from cliffs.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Victoria Parade on Ramsgate seafront yesterday afternoon.

The area was cordoned off by officers following the incident so emergency crews could reach the woman, who was in her 40s.

Police confirmed today she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A report is being prepared by officers and will be sent to the coroner.

A police spokesman said the death is not being treated as suspicious.

No further details about the woman have been released by police, but her next of kin have been informed.
