Inspired by author L.W.Illsley’s personal experiences of Hodgkin’s disease and the care industry, the show tells the poignant tale of Billy, a conscientious, opinionated teenager, and Roger, a chain smoking, chair-ridden, sharp tongued old man.

An unlikely friendship forms and Roger asks Billy a question that will change both their lives forever.

The award-winning production was first staged last March, it has received an Arts Award from the Wellcome Trust charity in recognition of its bold exploration of assisted suicide.

It starts at 7.30pm on Friday, January 24, at Canterbury’s Gulbenkian Theatre.

Tickets are £11 and it is suitable for ages 13 and over.
