Blues legends Paul Jones and Dave Kelly play Revelation Ashford

Legends of the blues scene and founders of the Blues Band, Paul Jones and Dave Kelly, will play a date in Kent this weekend.

The pair of seasoned, erudite entertainers will have guitar, harmonica and two blues voices for their repertoire of songs and reminiscences when they play Revelation Ashford on Saturday, February 2.

Paul Jones and Dave Kelly’s colourful roots go back some years. As well as their own material, they know and perform the work of greats, ranging from Howling Wolf and John Lee Hooker to Sonny Boy Williamson, as well as having played alongside them.

After more than a quarter of a century as presenter of his Radio 2 R&B show, what Paul doesn’t know about the Blues isn't worth knowing - and the same can be said for Europe’s leading bluesman, Dave Kelly.

He’s played with musicians from James Burton to Buddy Guy and adds guitar virtuosity to his talents.

The pair will play a live acoustic set on Saturday, February 2 at 7.45pm.

Tickets cost £25 on the door or £22. To book, visit revelationashford.co.uk or pop into the Tourist Information Centre in Ashford Gateway or The Record Store in Park Mall.
