Autumn glory is the theme of a floral celebration hosted by the castle at the heart of the Garden of England.
Leeds Castle florist Louise Roots and award-winning designer Mig Kimpton spearheaded a team of over 25 designers that have transformed the castle rooms with floral works of art.
Specialist talks, demonstrations and workshops make for a colourful floral spectacular for visitors to in the annual event that runs until Sunday, September 28.
Children can join in the festival fun with a floral themed ‘I Spy’ trail while visitors of all ages will enjoy the woodland walk. Both activities are included in price of admission.
A floral art competition sponsored by South East Flowers will feature three classes entered by florists, flower arrangers, student florists or simply those that enjoy working with flowers for visitors to judge their favourite designs.
The cellar will be filled with beautiful autumn door displays featuring door wreaths hung on the front of the barrels, while the Henry VIII banqueting hall will feature designs themed autumn celebration. Finally the window sills around the castle will boast autumn basket arrangements including fruit and vegetables.
Specialist workshops and demonstrations will take place in the festival floral marquee on the Pavilion Lawn throughout the week with castle florist Louise Roots, award winning floral designers Mig Kimpton and Robin White, Dahlia specialist Andy Vernon and willow weaving experts bookable via www.leeds-castle.co.uk
