Central Theatre, Chatham

There’s nothing better than singing along to huge classic rock hits, especially when it comes from one of the biggest bands in British music. For more than 20 years, One Night of Queen, a tribute band paying homage to Freddie Mercury and co., have been performing tunes like Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, Another One Bites the Dust, We Will Rock You and more, and their latest production comes to Kent on Father’s Day.

With 20 flavours of sausage and 30 different ciders available, Kent’s first Sausage and Cider Festival could well be a hit. If you and your dad share a passion for music, why not spend the weekend at one of Kent’s biggest festivals? Black Deer is a celebration of country, rock and blues music and Americana counter-culture, with Grammy Award winner Sheryl Crow, guitarist Joe Bonamassa and songwriter Rufus Wainwright headlining this year’s festival. There will also be BBQ food, motorbike displays and outdoor activities.

Hever Castle, Edenbridge

Petrolheads will be gathering at one of Kent’s most historic castles for a weekend of vintage vehicles, sports cars and rare motors. Visitors can see Alfa Romeo, MG, Morgan, Lotus, Mini, Porsche and Rolls Royce displays, discover the history of automobiles from expert Graham Pilgrim and pick up some signed memorabilia to take home. There will also be face painting and funfair rides for the kids.

At the Medway Gaming Festival, visitors can enjoy everything from cutting-edge VR experiences to retro arcade games, as well as challenges, tournaments, cosplayers, nerf battles and guests from the world of film, TV and gaming.

Kent and East Sussex Railway, Tenterden

There’s a beer festival coming to Kent over the Father’s Day weekend, and it’s a great place for dads to meet up and enjoy a pint of real ale or two. The two-day event, organised by CAMRA, will pull pints of real ale, cider and perry for visitors and put on live music from bands like The Chillbillies and Rockitmen.

Little Elses, Sevenoaks

Treat your dad to tasty food and delicious drinks with a trip to the Kent Food Festival.
