Tickets for Hairspray in 2020 with Michael Ball go on sale


Tickets for Hairspray have gone on sale with Michael Ball back to reprise his role in the hugely popular show that will return to the West End in 2020.

The smash-hit musical arrives at the London Coliseum from next April for a strictly limited 12-week season between Thursday April 23, 2020 and Sunday July 19, 2020 and then between Monday July 20, 2020 and Sunday August 30, 2020.

Bookings on KM Tickets will be available until Sunday, July 19 next year with ticket prices starting from £21.

From the original award-winning creative team of director Jack O’Brien and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, and featuring famous tunes like Good Morning Baltimore, You Can’t Stop the Beat and Big, Blonde and Beautiful, Hairspray is a fun and uplifting show.

The musical follows the life and dreams of Tracy Turnblad, a big girl with big hair and big dreams back in 1962, Baltimore.


Can she make it on the local TV dance show, win the heart of teen heartthrob Link Larkin and bring everyone together – whatever their colour, size or hairdo?

Ball had appeared in Hairspray when it last ran in London back 2007.

He will once again play Tracy's kind mother Edna, who runs a laundry business out of her home,

Since the previous production of Hairspray, Ball has gone on to star in Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street - a performance which earned him an Olivier award - while he is also set is appear in a star-studded concert production of Les Miserables, opening at the Gielgud this summer.
