A railway station will be returning to the Forties with lindy hoppers and even a beauty parlour called Hairaid Shelter.

Visitors to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway (RH&DR) who buy an all-day RomneyRovercorr ticket and visit Dymchurch station will see a display of Second World War vehicles and visiting re-enactors in their authentic uniforms.

But the time-travelling fun doesn’t end there at RH&DR’s Vintage on the Railway weekend this Saturday, September 27 and Sunday, September 28.

The Sixties will be the theme of activities and entertainment at New Romney station, while the Eighties is the zone you’ll enter at Dungeness station.

So pick your era, and dress up in your favourite retro outfit!
