Keane were on top form for fans at the Hop Farm last night and really did perform an absolutely phenomenal set.

Really, I can't stress enough what a great stage presence the band has and what a truly magical voice Tom Chaplin owns.

They brought a real festival feel to the last of the concert series at the site near Paddock Wood.

I was lucky enough to have been able to enjoy two of this year's series, as I saw Lisa Stansfield and Simply Red on Friday night.

Anyway, I liked Keane tracks, I didn't know them all, but hey, the real fans did and were loyal and true and sang every lyric they were meant to when Tom prompted them.

I could tell they loved being on stage, Tom really seemed to enjoy himself and his patter and banter with the audience not only made them laugh, it also seemed to make him and his band members very happy too.

I mean, no wonder they have sold more than 13 million records and had No 1 albums around the world, they make very, very good music both in the studio and live on stage.

It's good they returned to touring and making new music in 2019 after a six-year break, as it seemed fans had really missed them and the crowds at the farm absolutely welcomed and were very happy to see, dance and sing to their long overdue live set on stage.

Tom called it his homecoming gig as the band met at schoolmates in Tonbridge, and they hail from just over the Kent border, East Sussex.

And they did every track the fans wanted including Somewhere Only We Know and Everybody’s Changing and delighted the audience for an hour and 45 minutes.

Just before they come on special guests Flyte entertained the crowds with a very acoustic folk set but sadly I never arrived in time to see Michael Conryan, but others told me he was awesome too.

Once again, organisers did a superb job getting everyone in the venue smoothly and I must give a shout out to car park team at Right Guard Security for getting everyone out of the site after the festival ended.

The team don't always get credit for their efforts in helping people safely head home, and I've seen them abused by motorists on previous occasions, but this year their efforts were spot on and got everyone out of the exits quite swiftly.
