Soul II Soul, CeCe Peniston and Kathy Sledge lead a host of top names at the Margate Soul Festival this weekend.

The annual music celebration, that gets bigger and bigger every year, will also feature Afro-Cuban percussionist Snowboy, Jean Carne, Shirley Jones of the Jones Girls plus the British Collective who are better known individually as Omar, Junior Giscombe, Don E and Noel McKoy.

The festival features more than 50 DJs playing more than 40 hours of music.

As well as the ticketed large-scale live shows, there’s free family-friendly street performances, DJ-led carnival street parties and a mix of club nightlife starting at 8pm.

The festival runs from Friday, August 5, to Sunday, August 7.

Tickets are £80 for the VIP experience, the £60 standard weekend ticket, £40 for Saturday or £35 for Sunday.
