A second LEGO exhibition is set to steam in to a heritage railway station in time for the Easter holidays.
Civilisation comes to the Kent and East Sussex Railway in Tenterden on Saturday, April 6, and will run throughout the school holidays until Easter Monday, April 22.
It follows on from the success of Bricks Britannia, which attracted more than 13,000 visitors to the heritage line in 2017.
Civilisation will feature models made out of LEGO, including full-sized figures from civilisations around the world, including an Aztec, a Samurai Warrior, Egyptian pharaoh and an ancient Greek philosopher.
As well as learning about ancient civilisations, visitors will be able to pose for selfies with the life-sized figures in colourful costumes and intriguing poses.
LEGO dioramas will show activities and cultures from around the world, including the Easter Island heads, Machu Pichu, an Arab souk, Rio Carnival, the Milan fashion show and a model of St Basil’s cathedral in Russia.
Children will also be able to build their own models from LEGO bricks and add them to a huge world map.
The exhibition, which is being staged with LEGO suppliers Bright Bricks, is free to fare-paying passengers. TravelCards will allow unlimited journeys on the day, and admission to the exhibition. Prices are £18, £12 for children from three to 15 and £42 for a family of two adults and up to two children.
Also available online are a limited number of make and take workshop activities.
André Freeman from the railway said: “We had wonderful feedback after the Bricks Britannia show in 2017 and we are confident this Easter event will be just as popular.”
