In the first half of the show, Lenny will take the audience through a jam session of stories - triggered when writing his memoir - from growing up in the Black Country, puberty, school, friendship and family secrets to unashamed racism.

He will recount his rollercoaster ride of a career, which included being a cult star of children's television to being an award-winning actor with a PhD in Media Arts, but at every stage wondering: 'Am I good enough? Is this what they want?' He went on to be awarded a knighthood for services to charity and drama in 2015.

In the second half, he will be interviewed by friend, broadcaster and author Jon Canter, followed by questions from the audience.

The show is at the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells on Friday, November 15, where there are a handful of tickets left. Book at assemblyhalltheatre.co.uk or call 01892 530613.
