Former Strictly finalist Louise Redknapp will be on stage in the county next week performing in a show with music by country legend Dolly Parton.
Louise will be reprising her role as Violet Newstead in 9 to 5 The Musical, after she starred in the West End run of the show.
The show features a book by Patricia Resnick, the film’s original screenwriter, and an original Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score by Dolly Parton and tells the story of Doralee, Violet and Judy - three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss.
Dolly, who starred as Doralee Rhodes in the film, said: “I am so proud that 9 To 5 will be coming back soon to theatres all across the UK.
"Louise has been wonderful since she led the show in the West End and we're all so excited to give audiences the best night out after we have all waited so long.”
The former Eternal singer received rave reviews for the show when it opened at the Savoy Theatre in 2019. She has also starred as Sally Bowles in the national tour of Cabaret.
Inspired by the cult film, the musical sees the girls try to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit? The production is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business.
Directed by Jeff Calhoun, with choreography by Lisa Stevens, the show is based on the 20th Century Fox Picture and was originally produced on Broadway in 2009.
