Peter Pan Goes Wrong is coming to the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury

Comedy caper Peter Pan Goes Wrong is set to have audiences in stitches as it tours the country.

The play, which sees a group of actors tie themselves up in knots as their show falls apart in front of their eyes, is coming to Canterbury for six nights this winter.

The hilarious production comes from the same award-winning team behind the Play That Goes Wrong and BBC series the Goes Wrong Show.

Writers Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields of the Mischief Theatre Company became known for their comedy plays when their first smash-hit show opened in 2012.

The Play That Goes Wrong was introduced to audiences at the Old Red Lion Theatre in London before moving to the West End’s Duchess Theatre in 2014 where it earned the Olivier Award for Best New Comedy.

The Broadway production opened in 2017 and has since received a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award.

The trio’s second venture, Peter Pan Goes Wrong, has been performed on the West End, Broadway and in national theatres since its debut in 2013.

The show revisits the members of the Cornley Drama Society who are trying their hand at a new production, J M Barrie’s Peter Pan.

However, it’s not long before technical hitches and cast rivalries derail the show and audiences are left wondering if this group of hapless performers will make it past opening night.
