Southern Water is hosting its latest ‘Your Water Matters’ customer drop-in day on Monday 29 January at Whitstable Umbrella Centre.

Senior leaders from the water company will be on hand to answer customers’ questions and provide updates on the improvements and investment being made in the area.

Some of the topics to be discussed include:

- The nature-based solutions and site improvements being made to reduce the number of storm overflow releases.
- How Southern Water is spending money in your area to improve our wastewater sites and sewer network.
- Financial support available if you’re struggling with your bill payments.
- What’s being done to prevent blockages, pollution and flooding in Whitstable.
- Investigations into local misconnections that have caused pollutions and how the firm are working with partners to fix them
- Ongoing plans to restore Swalecliffe Brook
- Its extensive community and schools education programme
- Southern Water’s draft business plan between 2025-2030
