A well-being festival and community concert featuring a variety of activities, live music and performances, sports and workshops will take place in Medway in August.

Rochester-based Paramount Foundation whose mission it is to improve the lives and wellbeing of vulnerable people by investing in their communities, will be holding the Sticks n Stones festival on Saturday 26 August between 11am and 8pm.

.

The fun event will offer attendees a multitude of Medway services for health and well-being, all in one place. This year’s free event will also have live music and performances produced by The Medway African and Caribbean Association.

Taking place at the amphitheatre at Fort Amherst in Chatham, there will also be stalls as well as plenty of food and beverages.

The Paramount Foundation is the charitable arm of leading temporary housing provider Paramount Independent Property Services, and was set up by the firm which prides itself on the quality of its support and accommodation for homeless people.

The foundation exists to help improve the lives of vulnerable or disadvantaged people in the communities through practical help, support and intervention.

It works with groups and individuals to provide them with the opportunities and skills to become stronger and more self-reliant, as well as arranging events to raise funds, including the Sticks n Stones Festival.

Some of its projects in the community include the Local Heroes project, which is a group of volunteers who heed the call of Medway businesses and community groups to fix, maintain and building works on Thursdays and Fridays, from fixing fences to landscaping.

The Paramount Foundation also runs free boxing sessions; free fitness sessions and community IT support.
